Default Sportsman overheating! Will this work?

I pulled off the cover on the waterpump on my 02 500sp and the impeller was just sitting there. The shaft that it is bolted to is broken about 1 inch back. I see in the manual that engine has to come off and be split to replace this. Is there an electric waterpump I can manage to use in place of this. I know a lot of race cars use electric pumps and was curious if anyone had ever sen anything for an atv. Thanks Tony

maybe something like this?
