My son's 2001 polaris scrambler 90's battery will not charge. It runs perfect after getting it started. I thought it be the stator but after doing some searchs I am not so sure. I am electicly chalenged so some detail feed back would be much appreciated.

Not much other than the stator.
You need to use a ohm meter and check the resistance of the charging side of the stator. You'll need to call a Polaris dealer to find out what the ohms should be.

 

ok....cool. That is what I am replacing. Hopefully I will have it done today. I will let you know if that was the problem.

 

Problem fixed....Starts and runs like a champ.
