Default Brake fluid change on my SP800

I was surprised NOT to see any steps listed in my repair manual on how to do a real brake fluid change out. I am assuming I need to bleed the fluid from the brakes too while I do all of this.

I couldn't find a syringe at the Auto Store for removing the old fluid from the master cylinder, so do I just bleed it thru?

Thanks for your input!

Regards,

R'

If you have a hand "power bleeder" (available at any parts store) stick the end that goes on the zerk into the master cylinder and carefully pump. It will suck out the fluid. Then do the same on each brake line and start adding new fluid to each reservoir until you get clean stuff coming out.

It is on Page 9.7 under Brakes ( Brake Bleeding/Fluid Change) in the Polaris service manual for my 08 SP 500 HO. Should be close to the same for yours. But anyway it says to use mighty vac pump to remove fluid clean master cylinder out good and start bleeding at the caliper farthest from the master cylinder

power bleeding would be the best. imo like a car, rarely would you need to change your fluid as it should be as good as almost new as long as nothing got in like mud/water. imo
