Default How to reinstall cylinder on 400

I am putting the cylinder back on my 400. Does anyone know if I need any gasket sealer or anything on the base gasket when I put it in?

Not necessary as from the factory gaskets just have a small bead of sealant around base gasket already applied. If using after market base gasket a small amount of 1104,1194,or Yamabond sealant can give a little piece of mind! Nothing worse than to have one leak and have to tear back down. OPT

It is an aftermarket gasket. I will have to look for the sealers you mentioned.

What about for the head gasket and the carb boot? Anything there?

No sealant on head gasket, intake boot has molded rubber seal,BUT a little swipe of sealant around the the edges of the boot won't hurt anything if you have doubts. OPT
