Default 09 Sportsman 5HO parts

Looking to see if the exhaust on an 06 Sportsman 500 HO is the same as the 09 500 HO. Some auctions and websites say will fit 01-09 Sportsman 500HO, where as others say 01-06. Can anyone lend some info on this?

Also, I haven't found many jet kits for the quad and am wondering the same thing, if a jet kit for the 06 500 HO would work in my 09 5HO. Any and all help is appreciated.

Thank you for the reply. Still wondering though if the exhaust system changed throughout the years on the 500 HO model and if so to what extent.

Not sure about the early models but the hot seat exhaust I installed on my 07 (06-07 are the same)is the same exhaust for the 09. If you do purchase an HSP, be sure to let them know if you have a bumper on the rear. With bumper you'll need the 90 turndown tip. Here's my pipe. http://forums.atvconnection.com/pola...sp500-efi.html

I wld think not, seeing as the link I put up for you is for yrs 01-09! I think the pipe is the same even for my SP450. I wld go with what the sites say not what someone says on ebay.

I Agree. Ebay can be a great resource for some items but I'd be leary on others like an exhaust which may have a vague description for the model of bike. If you insist on using Ebay, get the model number and brand and contact the manufacturer to verify it's the right one for you. Another good place for parts is Polaris ATV - Aaen Performance

Nice pipe Ready.
Not just eBay is claiming different fit. Royal Distributing, an Ontario supplier of aftermarket parts has two different part numbers with a $5 difference. And the Supertrapp, for example, they only have one model listed for 02 - 06.
Some company's claim whatever horsepower gains with just a pipe, others say a complete systems gets the best gains. Anybody's opinions on this for the 09 sportsman 500 HO?
