Cvt crankcase
#1
1st time with a question to the forum. My son's friend was riding my wife's ETON 150R Viper and proceded to go up a hill. The motor kept a constant RPM but slowly moved forward. The bike seemed to move forward ok on flats and in reverse but uphill was very slow. I suspect the bike need a new CVT Belt. I followed the service guide drained the gear oil, then disassemble the crankcase and exposed the CVT system. The belt looked a little warn but noticed that there was gear oil in this area. Is this normal? Should there be any oil in this area? I also suspect that there is an oil seal that is also bad which might explain the oil in the case.
