Wiring nightmare

ok so long story short, got this quad a few years back and was holding onto it for my niece. We were having fun with it one night, and it got dark, and the lights didnt work. So I tried getting them to work, and hasnt started since. I am trying to redo the wiring, so hope you guys can help. These 5 wires are coming out of the engine, and the two wires are the ignition coil. Have been looking the last week around and can not find info. Any help would be great. I think I got out of the last week green is ground? Sorry if this is an easy fix, I work on car engines, not mini ones.

Yes, the green wire on the connector in your picture is ground. It should be grounded inside the stator. Wire it to the ground on the CDI and (eventually) the ground on the voltage regulator. The other wires:
Battery Charging Wires:
Yellow wire and White wire: These go to your voltage regulator. They both have low voltage AC on them with respect to ground (the green wire) when the engine is turning. One is a slightly higher voltage than the other (I forget which right now). In any case you don't need these wires quite yet. They keep the battery charged and run the lights through the voltage regulator, but they have nothing to spark and ignition and making a quad run. So I would get the ignition working first - i.e. test for good spark at the plug while cranking the starter. Once the quad is running come back to these wires.
Ignition Wires:
Black/Red: This wire [AC Ignition Power] provides moderately high voltage AC power to the CDI. At cranking speeds the voltage on this wire should be 40 to 80 volts AC measured to ground.
Blu/Yel: This wire [Timing/Trigger] provides a small signal voltage that tells the CDI when to fire. It should have 0.2 to 0.4 volts AC to ground when the starter is cranking.
So find your CDI and use this picture to wire it up:

Note that the CDI output to the ignition coil is the Black/Yel wire on your coil, and the other wire goes to ground.
Don't forget to wire up the CDI ground wire also.
The kill switch wire on the CDI is how you turn off the engine. Ground it to kill spark, and leave it open to allow spark for the quad to start up. There is high voltage on this pin whenever the engine is turning, so don't try to kill the engine by connecting up the kill wire with your fingers.
