Default 2001 325 Trail Boss Trans Problem

It will go into forward and reverse but in forward it seems to be stuck in low.It is a VS transmission,Fluid is correct ,no noises other than hi rev in forward gear.Any suggestions? Thanks

Welcome to the forums.

When you say low, you mean it will only go so fast? Just to be sure you know, it only has 1 forward and 1 reverse "gear".

Have you checked the belt and clutch out yet?

Yes .It will only go so fast now.About half the speed of the day before when it was ridden.I know it does not have "gears" but it seems like it is stuck in low.Only the forward was affected. But I appreciate you responding.

does it seem like your taking off in high gear( meaning if it was a standard, yes i know it's not but using it for a refernce, and you were starting in 3 rd gear in stead of first) then it might be either the belt being bad or the secondary clutch buttons are worn completely out.

Take the secondary (back clutch ) apart and check the ramps and helix
