Default Pro Taper Bars

I just got a set for Christmas for my 2004 DS650. They look great but think think they are the wrong ones. They are too short.

What are the correct replacements for stock?

Do you need a different riser?

Should the bars be the same thickness?

Thanks

Yes, you will need a riser. The DS has a funky bend which makes it hard to find bars that bolt right up without a riser. People buy bends that they think will work best for them so there really is no "correct" replacement. Plus when buying aftermarket bars people typically go to the larger diameter 1-1/8" bar so when you get risers make sure they are the correct dia. You will probably have to modify them as well because the steering stem holes are different. Most universal kits say they fit a DS but don't exactly.
