Their new Outlander 800 Xmr seems to be setup pretty nicely for mud.

All you need for mudding in a ATV is IRS for higher ground clearance,a True AWD system and a low range, all of which the 4x4 Can Ams have, after that the ATV with the best tires has the edge.

cons:
the cvt housing will toast your leg on a warm day-
You'll be eating mac & cheese and bologna for 5 years to afford it!

pros:
you'll have a fire breathing rotax twin between your legs (that's what she said )-
you'll own a can-am.

If you search this forum you'll find all the pro's and cons you want.
The outty 800 xmr defines a whole new class of atv'ing!

My Wife & I both have 07 650 Outlanders, standard model. We love them, they will do any thing we ask of them, and more. We have close to 4000. miles on them.
We ride them year round. We have a ball with them in the Snow. We are in our late 60's

a couple other issues I've had with my outy's...

The damn TTI was creaky / squeaky in all my outlanders-
the cvt is noisy,
they love to eat front brake pads,
some people complain about the spar chassis, but I've never experienced any issues (I've owned 4 can-am's)

other then that- I love'em- they have the strongest engine braking, beefy axles, the twin cylinder efi rotax is a force unmatched in the sport ute's (IMO) and they handle like a vette.
