1996 kawaski lakota 300 wont start
#1
This is Jay here,
I have a 1996 lakota 300, I had to have the cylinder bored and honed, and my exhasted valve replaced as well as the valve sets recut. they said they changed all clearances adn what not. well now im i put it back together and cant get it to start.
1. i have good spark (tho spark plug doesnt smell heavily of gas )
2. good compression
3. and i believe im getting gas thru carb(very very small amount of gas
on the hose coming from bottom of carb) but im also going to look into the carb in mor detail
any help would be amazing thanks.

we didnt have anything on hand. my cousin tried priming the carb with some gas poured into the butterfly end. which i think the gas just came out other side or the bottom hose. hooked it back up and tried tyo start. bike just kept cranking, no pops or anything.

If the motor doesn't even pop with gas/starting fluid into the carb, you may have a spark issue.
Pull out the plug get close to the engine sufrace, about 1/8" or less, and crank the motor. See if you can see the spark jump across from the plug to the engine. Do this in dark so that you can easily see the spark.
