I cannot seem to keep my Oury grips glued on to my Renthal bars. I have used 3 different brands of grip glue and none seem to work. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.

Did you clean the bars with alcohol first? I don't mean Bud Lite either.

I wrapped tape around my bars and used my spit to slide them on and they have stayed.

I too have used hair spray, the non-aerosol type, for many years both in competition as well as on play bikes & quads, I also use safety wire for additional insurance. Just be sure the surface is clean & smooth, theb spray both the bar ends & inside the grips liberally before installing, and don't touch them for at least 24 hours.

3M makes some really good stuff. It's grip glue and the tube I got was $12.00 but I use it for about anything. Never had a set of grips come loose since.

my XR's grips have been giveing me trouble for years, Iv tryed all the above and they just turn to slime on the inside and become loose. I got mad and used PCV pipe cement, that worked!

The best thing that I have learned is it takes time. I just put some hairspray (or spray paint works well also) straight on the handlebars, and then slide the girps on and let them dry. I only let it dry for about 24 hours once and it slid off the next day during riding. Thats no fun....swingen your quad around a turn and have your whole hand slide off. So anyway, I redid it that night and let it dry for 3 Days. Havnt failed me yet.

* Also side note, How do you like your grips, i got ourys too, i think they are sweet.

When I changed mine, I simply put some soapy water, "dry it" with a hairdryer, and put some safety wire around them. They haven't moved since.
