Default 800 sportsman running terrible.

I have a 06 sportsman 800 that has been a great machine until I remodeled my house over the last 2 weeks and I had to keep it outside. When I started it to bring it back in it ran fine for a min then began running very rough and died. I tried it again and the same thing happened. It has 98 hrs and about 438 mi, any input is appreciated. Thanks..

another thing to check is gas, sitting for two weeks gives it plenty of time for the water to seperate and with the cheap a$$ gas they give us these day's there is always plenty of moisture in it, crazy how more expensive gas and much lower quality gas can even happen

welcome to the forums. check the battery voltage as well to see what the out put is. if it does not have at least 12.8, then it cn run crappy and die from lack of voltage to run the efi system. imo

add some heet to the gas ,maybe water, theonly other way to get rid of it is drain the bottom of tank, the water will be on the bottom of the gas, being that its fuel injected the pump is picking up the water off of the bottom, may have to remove tank or syphon all the gas out

I replaced the plugs after reading your post and cleaned the wires(this had never been done before) and the problem seemed to have disappeared hope that was all it was. Thanks for the info prolly saved me a couple hundred bucks and a few weeks without my quad.
