To those of you who bought California Raptors. Did you end up getting the Red or the Green sticker? I am picking up my Raptor this friday and want to make sure I get Green stickered. Any suggestions? The dealer says he hasn't heard of anybody getting red stickered with a Raptor but I am taking that with a grain of salt. Thanks!

 

I got my Raptor back in October and I got the green sticker. Supposedly the VIN# should tell the dealer if it's a green or red. And I haven't heard of anybody getting the red sticker on theirs yet.

 

Just curious, what's a Red sticker and Green sticker? We don't have that in TX.

 

This has been answered several times in this forum. California Raptors are green sticker OHV's.
The 8th digit of the VIN determines it. If it is a 3 or a C the OHV is a red sticker vehicle.

 

It determines what months of the year the vehicle can legally be operated on public land. It is part of the California Air Resources Board emission control plan.

 

Ok, so California models are green stickers. does that mean you can't ride the others in California? Can you only ride your atv during certain months of the year?

 

I was wondering, what if you are visiting Glamis from another state? Do you have to get stickers for that? or can you just go there and ride?

 

Unfortunately I ended up with a raptor that is a red sticker but I'm not gonna let that ruin my fun
