Anyways, this is an ad on Craigslist:
"2003 Polaris Sportsman 700, great shape. $3200 obo, includes snow plow and winch. Can email or text photos."

So far, I've text messaged him and he said there is nothing wrong, there is no damage, nothing needs replaced. However, I'm still waiting to hear how many miles and hours are on it.

Judging by what he says, and assuming that it really is in "great shape" as he states, do you think this is a fair price? Remember, a snow plow and winch are included.

I'm just posting about the mechanics of the 700. The 2002 and 2003 machines had trouble with the Ducati ignition systems. The replacement Kokusan system costs about 400 dollars,but includes the stator,flywheel,cdi,coil,reg/rectifier and harness adapters. I replace five or six total before I retired. You may or may not have problems,but better to be armed with a little knowledge about this. The later model 2004 machines did have the updated system.Overall the 700 is a good atv! This could be a bargaining point if you want the machine though. Other hopefully will chime in on if price is right or not,not my territory! Good luck. OPT
