Default DMV Inspection Requirements?

What do they usually inspect? Do they test-drive?
Because, my ATV is fine. Expect the clutch gets stuck sometimes on reverse. I need new back break pads and break cord. Also I need new tires.. my back ones have cracks, cuts, slits, or whatever in them.

Lemme know asap.

You also want to check your Lights out- Head lights and tail lights and brake lights. DOT is also watching for proper tiedown. Looks like everything is moving toward Tire Traps, ATV Mighty TiTes or Louisiana guard dog. If not a system like these designed for transporting, you better have 4 tiedown straps each capable of 1000 lbs strength. Using the winches to tiedown is also on the way out. Too many have stripped to gears and had releases.

I have found that it is just a visual check...lights, muffler, brakes, taillight! They will also check the vin to make sure that it is there!

Are trying to get it inspected for the road? Honestly it doesn't sound safe for a trail.

I have front breaks, and a winch. And the break isn't seized, the cable is seized. I bought a four wheeler from a moron and he put the brake cord right on the muffler it melted and rusted out causing it to seize.. than the brake pads weared out and ruinde the whole brake system. I'm probably going to fix it..
