Default 02 Sportsman 700 Rear Prop Shaft

The female splines on both ends of my rear prop shaft are severely worn down. I suspect it is from running a bad u-joint too long. I am looking at buying a new one and it looks like the complete shaft is about $250. I took a look for a used one on ebay and there were none for mine listed. I did find a 2006 sportsman 800 rear prop shaft for $100. Does anyone know if this will work on my 02 700? Brand new that is much cheaper than my 02 shaft. If not will any other year/model work on my 02?

Shows to be different part numbers for each machine, but maybe some of the other members can direct you a little better. Good luck OP
Your part number shows to used on the 02 and 03 model 700s,changes part # after that.
