Warn has just released an all-new product: The WARN XT17 Portable winch. It weighs only 8.5 lbs. and pulls up t 1,700, plus it is small and very portable. It is a great tool for quads, adventure touring motorcycles, or for utility use, and ideal for people not wanting to hard mount a winch.

I saw one like this a few days ago at higgins- it was attached to a battery pack- all one unit. had to weigh at least 40lbs!

Looks like this one plugs into a 12v receptacle or has a lead that is wired to the battery.
