I have a polaris 700 sportsman that I bought recently that has started cutting out when the fan kicks in. Someone told me it was a short, and another person told me it was a weak battery that when the fan comes on it drains the power too much and causes the atv to loose its spark. Van anyone tell me if that can be the problem, or is it a short or is there something else wrong with it.

 

If its a 2002,2003,or early mfg 2004 could be the start of the Ducati ignition system starting to fail. These models updated to complete Kokusan ignition systems as replacements. OPT

 

Forgot also if its a 2005 or 2006 CARB version could be the old ecm problem?? OR it could be something simple as suggested about the battery? I would check that battery is charging around 14 volts,plus if battery is getting a little old I would have it load tested. Hopefully its something simple like this. OPT
