Default Warrior Carb compatibility between 87 and 88

Hey guys, I am looking into rebuilding the carb on my 87 warrior and im not sure about what kit to get. It is entirely stock and I think its due for a rebuild as I am getting some hesitation here and there. I found this inexpensive kit on amazon but it says that it fits 88-03.

Amazon.com: Freedom County ATV FC4806350X Carburetor Rebuild Kit for Yamaha YFM350X Warrior: Automotive

From what i've read, they didn't change much between 87 and 88 but I don't want to spend the money and find out the kit wont work so my question is, will it?

Except for the throttle cable ( I think the earliest ones had a 2 cable set up, I could be wrong) the carbs didnt change any, the kit should work fine for you quad ( and any 1995 Wolverine, the only year they used the Warrior carb, before switching to the CV type in 96-05 models). Also,if you havent done so already, while you have the carb apart, replace the pitiful accelerator pump spring with one from an old click type ink pen, same size, and 5 times stronger, it will elminate a lot of the off idle hesitation you get from a stuck accelerator pump, a common problem with that carb, the accelerator pump rod is returned by a weak spring, if it binds, you have no shot of gas when you hit the throttle, leans out, and bogs, then takes off, runs normally until the next time it binds up or sticks. After replacing mine, not one problem in several years.

Thanks, I did actually replace the accelerator pump spring with one a little bit stiffer from the hardware store. I am thinking maybe i should find one even stiffer though because it did help a little bit. I think that along with this kit should put me in better shape. Thanks.
