Default In search of lift kit

Finally got an ATV - 2006 Hawkeye 300. Only had 8 hours on it, the price was right and it seemed to meet my needs. After taking the bike to the Eastern Shore of MD and talking to the guys with bigger bikes, I believe I'll need a lift kit to get to my hunting spot when the water rises later in the season. A bigger bike is not an option at this point $$$$ The after-market company that was suggested to me did not have a solution that they were aware of for the year and model of my bike. They did suggest that I speak with the Polaris dealer to see if any of the Sportsmans used the same suspension as my bike. What I found out from the dealer is that if the bike were built after 9/4/06, it would have the same suspension as the Sportsman 300/400 - 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010... The bike was built on 11/11/05. So that put me back to the drawing board and here I am. Would anyone know where I might get a lift kit for my bike? I appreciate any advise anyone can provide. Thanks in advance. Bob.

Welcome to the forum hunterbob. A lift kit won't do you much good unless you put bigger tires on too, and the 300 doesn't have enough power to turn big tires without a clutch kit. JMHO. In total it's going to cost more than you might want to spend.

even with the clutch for the bigger tires- it'll be a really under powered atv.

If you're just looking for height to keep water out, just snorkel it.
