Default dynatek cdi box

well, I bought the dynatek cdi box for my 650 vtwin, plugged it in and it worked no prob on test around the street, while i was testing i discovered i had a short with my 2wd 4wd swithch, I chased the wires and found three wires in the harness that was bare on one side from rubbing on the frame. I repaired the three wires switch works perfect.... NOW I dont get any spar with the dynatek cdi, so I pluged the stock cdi box in and runs perfect. any suggestions.

call dynatek, they are very helpful and maybe it messed the cdi up. i had one in my 650 twin and it burnt out so i called them and sent it back. by the next weekend i had a brand new one. i know it was the best 200 dollars i ever spent on an atv.

X2. When I had my V2, if I had to strip it and leave one mod, I would have kept the Dynatek. I don't know how it burned up, if it did. Check all fuses, and such. Maybe disconnect the battery, then hook the Dynatek up and connect the battery again and try it. Ive never had a problem with mine when I owned it and I had that thing submerged in water sometimes, lol
