with rider weight at 350 (2 people) do you think that the 27" titan 589 or the 27" mudbugs will rub on the fenders or would you suggest going to 26" tires. I don't want to get a lift kit.

With that kinda weight I think you should talk to Cowboy about installing his spring spacer kit. It will stiffen up the suspension for the added load.

The 589 tires will rub with two people riding,I have a set on my 2001 500 man.The tire itself is a great running tire that is very smooth even on hard surface running.I agree with Boner and you should install a spacer on the bottom of your springs.I went with 3/8 up front and 1/2 in the rear and it works great. It gives a little more clearance as well less body roll when side-hilling or fast turning.Over all it is probally the next best mod to do after a 2000lb warn winch.
KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN

You guys are talking about putting spacers on the springs. If I remember correctly the shocks have a preload adjustment on them. You will get the same effect as the spacers by just rotating the preload adjustment up a few notches.

Whoa, hang on a second there-Not to second guess you, but I would LOVE a set of adjustable shocks for my 'Cat, but was told they don't make them yet. If they do, where do you get them, who makes them, and how much? My dealer and I have even talked about this a time or two, he was still upset they didn't make them, but did love the spacer idea to compensate.

Anyway, if you know where to get them, and how much, let me know please, I'd be interested if the price was right.

Thanks,

Mike
