Arctic cat 50cc 2 stroke problem.
#1
I tried this in the AC section with no reply. I have around a 2000-2002 Arctic Cat 50cc quad I bought used. It is very clean and has always ran well. While driving around the yard the engine just started misfiring just as the clutch is engaging. It will not rev higher even with the rear tires off the ground. I had put a high rpm ebay ignition box on it that worked fine, but I removed that and went back to stock without helping. Has anybody ever seen a problem like this? I have cleaned out the carb and replaced the plug also.
Thanks in advance

Hmmmm...
2 strokes..maybe a air leak around the intake? Spray carb claener.
Maybe the crank seals?
Maybe the pipe is plugged. Sometimes the end gets gummed up and won't let it breath.
I'd start wit the pipe.

Black flakes had come loose inside the pipe and plugged the tip! Thanks! Now onto my other sons LT80. I bought this one not running right....
