Default Less than 70cc quad

I'm looking at purchasing my son a quad, and we will be riding at some of the public riding areas in NC.

Unfortunately, he is only "legally" able to ride a less than 70cc ATV, at these riding areas.

I don't want to get him one of the 50cc ATVs with no suspension, so it looks like my only two options are the Can-Am DS70 (it's technically 69cc), or the chinese bikes.

Are there any other used options from Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, etc that I should consider?

DRR and Apex.
And they have monster suspension.
And they have monster cost..But well worth it IMO.
Stock, they rock.

I'd love to find one of those locally and for a good price, but you never see them. Plus it's kind of difficult to justify one when they are more used than a new Can-Am. I still want one though.

By the time I get this he will be eight. If we were just going to ride this on our own land I would get him a 90cc. But since we intend to ride in parks we have to follow the law and in this state he's stuck on a 70 cc until he's twelve.

But I intend to make it faster. I don't have a problem modifying these to get him the speed that he needs to enjoy it.

I wouldn't worry about CC's.
At the nationals, most 70's are faster than the 90's.

E-Ton also has a 70(69cc) machine. It shares the same frame as the 90 models, but is one of the smaller units compared to Polaris/Honda etc. If you can find one of the older 2 stroke E-ton 70's, that could be an awesome machine. You could also find an older 50 2 stroke and rebuild it to a 70 if power turns out to be an issue.
