Default 2000 yamaha warrior prob ...

i can start this bike with the pull cord only. it will run fine.
when i try and start it with the electric starter, it will turn over only and the spark at the plug is very dim.

is this a voltage regulator problem or ???

thanks for the read

yes, it turns over properly, but just won't produce a spark big enough to fire up. if i pull start it, it fires up right away. i was thinking it was a stator, but its not that if it starts while pulling. it almost seems there is too much draw at the starter perhaps to have enough left for the coil. the cdi box should be fine also. i was thinking voltage regulator but you may be right about just a bad wire somewhere grounding out. i'll look around and see if i can find something.
thank you !!
