Default Atv advice for snow plowing

Ive had atv's before that I plowed with but haven't had one in several years. With that said, I am looking for advice on purchasing a atv for plowing. I've always had Yamaha and Kawasaki and believe the Japanese brands are more reliable but I like the shift pattern on the Polaris. I need to be able to shift from low to reverse quickly because I will be in the road doing this. I will also hopefully get to use the atv for some trail riding. Any advice would be appreciated on atv models and plowing equipment. Thanks

Just make sure the ATV has True AWD not 3x4 and a low range. I like how Polaris can shift into reverse instantly without a complicated procedure like the rest do.

Polaris Sportsman 500 is pretty bulletproof. The only brand I would avoid is Honda because it only has a limited slip front end. Been in more than a few situations where that little extra bit of traction helped.

I've been plowing with Sportsman 500s for 15 years and they've never let me down.

I found a 2005 Suzuki Vinson. It has a winch but don plow. How do you think this atv will do? The only downfall is its a straight rear axle, no efi and no locking front differential.

IRS is no advantage if the ATV is for plowing. You could put chains on the rear wheels to help. I have seen 2wd ATVs with chains plowing driveways and do pretty good.

I know the IRS is no disadvantage for plowing, I just have never owned one with IRS and always said that my next one would have it.

I've been plowing with a 2003 Vinson the past 2 years. Works great.
