Question 2006 Sportsman 700 EFI Throttle Wiring

I have a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI.

So.... My dog decided to chew all the wiring going into my throttle controller.

I opened up the "dash" and it looks like the wiring is part of the main wiring harness. I was wondering do I have to replace the entire wire harness now or is there some other way to fix this/ other part besides buying the entire wire harness. I can post/send pictures if it helps.

Welcome! If you still have the etc connector going into the throttle see if you can replace the bad wires going into the main harness. If you can't repair, check ebay for a harness off a wrecked machine. I know there are places to obtain electrical connectors and such, but don't know of one off hand. Last resort is a new harness and pull the dogs teeth! Have had dogs and horses eat seats and plastic, but usually had mice eat the wiring. OPT

I still have the connector piece going into the throttle. The wires are just chewed about 5 inches.... can it be spliced in? and if so, with what wiring? Kind of stupid when it comes to electrical stuff - especially ATV's. Appreciate the help!

They can be spliced in with new wires (use the heat shrink type connectors for water proofing)Plus black plastic wire loom to hide the spliced wires might look good. Just take a piece of wire up to Ace or a good hardware store and match it up. Can't remember the gauge wire off hand (20,22 gauge?) Maybe you can save the dog's teeth too OPT
