5+2 indicates the offset or depth of the rim. So a 5+2 means that the depth of the rim on one side is 5 inches to the center and that the depth to the center of the rim on the other side is 2 inches. So 5 + 2 = 7 and that is the overall width of the rim. Check this out. ATV Tire and Wheel Application Chart : ATV Tires Free Shipping : ATV Wheels : Mud-Throwers.com

27" Tires are pretty heavy for a 420 Rancher, especially for a ATV with no low range tranny.

My friend has a 660 Grizzly and put 6 ply 26x12-12 rears and 26x10-12 fronts and notice a good power loss and top speed drop.

He went back to 25" tires but with a much more Aggressive and taller 1-1/4" Lug. MudLites "XXL".

Now he has the same acceleration and 60mph top end back but with much more traction.
