Polaris not starting
#1
I recently got a 2000 polaris trailboss 325. Had some motor work done and i tryed to start but the only way i could get it to turn over was by touching the 2 solenoid post together. i bought a new solenoid for it, but still the sane thing happens, any help?

Make sure you have the small wire(red/black,red/white?) hooked up to the solenoid and that it has voltage when you push the start button. This is the wire from the ignition switch that triggers the solenoid. If this is connected, but doesn't trigger the solenoid you could either have a short in the ignition switch, switch connector or harness. Also have had problems on left control on/off emergency switch contacts, internal wiring shorts or shorts leading down into the main harness area under the front panel. Also just to make sure : The battery wire goes to the solenoid top post, the bottom connection to the starter. OPT
