Default Tao 110 electrical... I will fix this!

Ok I have a Tao Tao 110 that isnt running. I'm getting no power to anything really.... I have a dmm. The batery is good at 12.5. The electrical system is a mess and was that way when I bought it so I'm gonna take it step by step till I get it corrected. Off the solenoid the fuse is good and the power splits to the voltage reg and the key switch... The key switch is new and I'm not sure it's working. The 12v is going through the key switch connector but then I run into problems. One wire goes to ground one to the remote box and one branches off to the other important stuff so I'm thinking when I switch it on 12v should go to that wire but I get nothing... Am I wrong in thinking that is my first problem?

try your safety switches the 1 by the brake lever will go bad quit often you can short the 2 wires that go on the switch together and try it then

If it has a tether kill switch on the back check to make sure it is making good contact. Sometimes these will cause problems.

Well I appreciate the comments but if you read the description the power wasn't even getting to that area prior. Since my post I went out and messed with it again basically since the key wasn't letting power get through I just spliced the wires and bypassed the key! Now I have lights! The rear and front brake switch work! Still got to check the tether but I'm pretty sure it may be in the left handlebar switch. I'm still getting no power to the stater solenoid switch wire. I'm making progress!

Got power to the solenoid! And rewired the key switch so that it works correctly ( I bought it and apparently the way the switch was wired wasn't correct for the connector on the quad so after alitle trial and error with a battery charger hooked to the wires and a dmm I found the right combo, wired it up and bam that part is done. Next I found out the connector at the solenoid wasn't passing current so I just cut off the connector and now have power at the solenoid. Once I get oil in the motor I will see if I run into any spark issues but may have fixed it!
