Need tuning help please...

I have an '02 P650 with about 400 miles on it. I recently added a winch, Twin Air, DG snorkel, HMF half system, red & black springs. After installing the winch and black spring the bike began to hit a "wall" in the midrange. It feels like a rev limiter is kicking in or the ignition is retarding severely. This takes place around 25 mph and it will surge and crackle past 30 but it definitely is not running right. The plugs are running rich which surprised me as I have not changed jetting yet but the black air screw was adjusted slightly to get the idle correct.
This is taking place in Ft. Worth, TX currently for elevation information. The bike will eventually be at an elevation of 450 ft. in Alaska. It's confusing because the bike ran fine with the exhaust, breathing mods and red spring and the bike is not running lean as I expected after the exhaust mods.
Any ideas? I don't like going to the dealer. Does it sound like jetting, mechanical, electrical...?

Nyroc, I know exactly what you are talking about concerning the rubber shield. If I hadn't of looked closer, I would have never noticed that the snorkle was not pushed past the shield. The shield was coving 80% of the opening of my snorkel. Alaska, you do sound like you may be extremely rich. I did roughly the same mods that you did and mine was way on the lean side and I'm roughly at the same altitude as you. You didn't state if you rejetted or not and was wondering if you did, what size jets were you using.

Nyroc you're the man! That's exactly what the problem was. My friend buttoned up the left side of the bike and he didn't realize the snorkel had to go through the hole in the rubber. The mouth of the snorkel was completely covered...no wonder it wouldn't run. Thanks again.

Wow! I was actually helpful with that guess? I made that mistake once too. I thought I was the only person (dumb enough) to make that mistake. That is how I knew a snorkle blockage would screw things up like that.
I just don't publish the stupid things I have done on my website. Makes me look smarter than I really am.
