giovanni beast 200
#1
hey
any owners out there? I am considering buying one of these units...
I know from riding a giovanni 125 dirt bike that the bike cant be started if its in gear, even if the clutch is pulled. Is this the case with this quad? Is there an alternate way of starting it besides the electric start... ie pulling behind another quad?
Any common issues found with these quads? ie engine, clutch, starter, electrical... Dealer issues ?( ALL STAR SALEZ)
I am usually a brand guy when it comes to stuff like this, but from the research i have found, the 200 zongshen motor in there is basically a honda 200. I believe that some of the honda parts are actually interchangable. From what i have read it seems that zongshen seems to make a decent engine. I believe that they are making the motors for some harleys that are sold in asia, as well as piaggios. Also, does this thing have bottom end power, as in enough power to possibly tow a small atv trailer or somethign like that. I have welding experience so I would put a hitch on this unit.
Thanks for your help!!!

I have a 200cc beast...it runs well. it wheelies on command in second gear. Has bottom end grunt...also tops out around 50 mph. You gotta tighten every bolt and give them some blue locktite, before you ride. I am happy with this machine. I do think you could pull a trailer without problems. I am a big guy...240lbs, and take the girlfriend for rides. Not a problem pulling the extra weight of a passenger. For $3500 less than a raptor 250, its worth the cash...also what does one expect for $599 Canadian. My moutian bike retails for $1500, I got the quad with tax and shipping for less than $1000. I do hope this helps...Also allstar sales is great to deal with...yes you have to pay shipping for replacement parts, but they do have a waranty. I strongly recomend not to **** them off, by telling them that the product is junk...they will not help you one bit. For $1000 I got my money outta the machine...worth every penny in my opinion. I've only had it for 45 days, but i have not really broken anything besides the brake lever (fell off the truck) and chain(Never tightend the swingarm). Oh yah...I'm hard on all my toys, this one seems to hold up. Only electric start, my brake has to be pulled to start it...but what is stoping you form bypassing the saftey brake switch...Just dissconnect it or cut the wires and tape them together.(depends if the switch is normally closed or open circut). My new brake lever allows the quad to be started in gear, does not make the switch to stop the starter. I think the saftey switch does not allow the starter to engage, it does not stop the spark. So it could be push started. In fact, I have just push started the quad to see if it would start and it did.
