Will ITP wheel kits with Holeshot XCT tires work on the 4X4 Scramblers. I`m wondering if the tires are going to bind when in 4 wheel drive.

I have 23x7x10-22x11x10 HoleShots XCT with a one tooth larger front sprocket(shaft driven front). P/N 3233538 with no problems. No trouble bending the front wheels any more.

I was talking about the stock aluminum rims and tires even with 15 lbs. of air Bending.

Like JWC did, just keep the ratio between the front and rear tires the same and you will not have a problem.

JWC
Why would you go up a tooth on your front sprocket when those tires you mentioned were the stock sizes it seems like you are throwing the ratio off now.
Just curious

I`m not worried about the tires "bending", I`m wondering if the ratios between the front and rear drives will get messed up and cause "binding". I looked at one of the ITP wheel kits with Holeshot XCT tires mounted on the rims, and the front tires look a lot taller than the rear ones.

I went with one tooth bigger to try to kill some of the wheeles down, no luck and add some MPH. (guess I need a loger swingarm) I was told you could change gearing around a little (not for sure how much) or go a couple inches taller tires from front to rear. I would like to try a 34 tooth on the rear from a 36. Not sure if its to much of a change. With the 14 on front.

99 4x4 Scrambler 400
Big Bore 86.5-not ported just cleaned up
RCR Pipe
39 Kehin-no air box
HPD Red-Yellow w/ 58 weights
Violet on the rear w/ 44/36 Helix

23-7-10 & 22-11-10 are stock sizes.

I have been running the ITP Holeshots on ITP T9 wheels since they released the XCT's and no binding problems. The work great in all my types of riding. Fast trail, a bit of racing, muddy trail, and grass farm and farm tracks. They are not the hot ticket in sand though - To square and aggressive.
