2006 fushin 90cc kids atv wiring problems
#1
Yes, I bought a 90cc fushin atv for my son for Christmas and I can't figure out all the wires, can anyone please send me a wrong diagram or at least point me in the right direction to get one? Thank you. My email is

I have never seen a wiring diagram for this quad.
Much more detail is needed. What is the history of this quad? Ever seen it run, or did you buy this from someone off the street in an unknown condition?
What wires are you trying to figure out? Why are you trying to figure them out? Are they disconnected? Are they modified at all? What part of the electrical system is involved here? Do you have pictures?
What works and what doesn't? Do you have a battery? Does the starter crank if you jump the starter solenoid? Does the starter crank with the brake interlock circuitry and start button? Do any lights work? If the starter turns, do you have spark?
Do you have a meter? You're going to need one...

Ok I bought this thing and all it needs was a battery!!! Ya right I knew that it would be more than that anyways. I put a new battery on it, ordered and installed a new key switch. Well you turn the thing on and nothing. Headlights don't work no lights on anywhere but you can jump the solenoid and turn it over. I'm an electrician and I've owned and worked on countless fourwheelers dirtbikes etc. but they've all been Hondas Yamaha Kawis nothing with an alarm system! Anyways will the alarm system keep this thing from cranking? Can you override the left hand switch setup (starter button headlights etc) or check it someway without buying a new one. I'm just ready to get this thing rideable and start on another one of my projects! Thanks Chrisfrost86@yahoo.com

So unplug your remote start/stop/alram module. Then look at the following generic/typical starter motor cranking circuitry:

This is by far the most common starter wiring scheme for remote module equipped atvs (I left out all the wires to the remote since you unplugged it and it is now out of the picture). Follow it through...
Basically you need to get 12 volts DC across the starter solenoid small gauge wires. When you have 12 volts applied across these two small terminals it feeds a coil of wire that makes a magnetic field (electromagnet) that sucks down a steel plate, that shorts the two big lugs terminals together just like you did when you jumped across the solenoid. One of those small solenoid wires is supossed to be grounded. The other gets 12 volts from the battery through a series of parts:
1) Battery (+) to the fuse
2) Fuse output side to ignition switch input
3) Ignition switch output (the "on" side) to the brake switch input side
4) Brake switch output side (brakes applied, and BTW is the brake light on? - Big clue here...
)5) Brake switch output side to the Starter button.
6) Starter button output side to the solenoid input side.
7) Solenoid output side to ground.
You're an electrician
. Follow it through. Where does the 12 volt path to the solenoid input wires break down? Up at the left handlebar switch there may be difficulty figuring out which wire is what. I have ideas on how to handle this, but at least start with the path to that point using your meter.Big picture time... Getting the starter to crank with the start button is but one step in a grand scheme. Getting the starter to crank only gets us to the next step... Do you have spark? Does the battery charging system work? Do the ancillary systems such as lighting, horns, gear position indicators, etc, work? From an electrical standpoint the idea is to
break down complicated problems into simpler ones and solve them one at a time. Divide and conquer.... One step at a time...
But there are mechanical issues to consider as well. Will your quad run even of you solve all the electrical problems? Is the engine shot?
I really would like to encourage others reading this post to not even consider buying non-running chinese quads. It is almost always a nightmare. If they (the sellers) can't get it running before they sell, why should anyone else consider buying it?
I'll help as best I can. Maybe it will work out. You never know...

Thanks for all the help, ok I traced all the wires and had o. Burnt in two in the insulation! Now the starter is no good. It cranked for a minute and the the starter shelled into pieces. Well I looked online last night for 4 hours and could not find a 4 bolt starter for a fushin. I will post a pic as soon as I figure out how to. Any ideas? Thanks Chris and thanks again for all the help
