I have a sportsman 500 that is idleing hi,it starts first try and doesn't have any misses

 

Welcome! First thing to do is reach under the carb and find a big knurled **** hanging down(idle adjustment) and see if turning counter clockwise lowers the idle. If it doesn't you could have the throttle cable too tight at the thumb lever,the cable could be pinched or in a bind, or the slide could be sticking. Try the adjuster first. OPT
