#1- The adapter (polaris p/n 3084879) that connects the carb to the head keeps separating. I've repositioned numerous times. This time I tried to find a way to decrease the distance between the two so there is more rubber (hose) on the carb side - no dice. I really do not see any adjustment that is is easy. Am I at the point of ordering a new adapter???? Anyone else come up with a solution to prevent the separating?
#2- I've noticed some slippage when starting from a stop on a slope. Sort of feels like a chatter. I'm assuming that the drive belt needs replacing. Am I correct or is there something else I should be concerned with?

Could be that the carb mounting bracket and rubber mounts are the problem and not pushing the carb up firmly enough.Plus vibration from the rubber mounts themselves can do this. I've removed the mounts before and just used small spacers(if needed) in place of the mounts to hold the bracket firm and tight against the frame and carb body. Chattering could be from a glazed/burnt belt or rear clutch ramp button wear. OPT
