Default 2004 Polaris Sportsman 600...Thoughts???

Hey guys,

I am still on the huny for an ATV. I found a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 600 Twin for $3500 with 2680 miles on it. Its in good condition, some scrathes, starts and runs great and seems to have been taken care of.

What do you guys think? Ad verbiage below.

ITP tires and wheels, Cycle County plow, 2500lb winch, Chrome front bumper, trailer hitch.
runs great, just changed oil, new belt last fall. Service manual CD, 2680 miles
$3500.00 or best offer.

You can check kbb.com and nada.com to see what it's worth. You might want to make a lower offer.

Just to be on the safe side, pop the front panel(if owner allows) to see if you have a DUCATI combo cdi and coil. If it a has a separate cdi and coil, then you have the updated Kokusan system. Just check through the forum on 600 and 700 Sportsman ignition problems. The kits change out the entire system from the stator to the coil. Costs about $450. The Ducati system will go out, some sooner others later and no replacement parts other than the kit. Other than that they were good machines. Just giving you a heads up. 2002 to Early 2004 model 600 and 700s were affected. This can give you some bargaining room on the OBO if it does. Sounds like pretty low miles for a 9 year old machine.
