HELP! priming the oil pump

Exclamation HELP! priming the oil pump

i just did an oil change on my 05 sportsman 500 and i need to prime the oil pump but which line is the vent line? i tried squeezing the black line at the top but i don't hear any air rushing. thanks

Clamp the top line right past the fitting as there is a small slit further down to relieve condensation. Just crank it up and run a couple minutes and kill it. When you release the vice grips,clamps,etc you will occasionally hear a hiss. The pump should then be primed. Actually priming isn't necessary unless you remove the filter screen from the tank for cleaning and the oil line is drained.Polaris box kits always say to prime ,some people do some don't.

i did remove the screen and i got it now thanks!
