300 sportsman carb issues

well replaced all jets in carb . not sure if on jet needle if retaining ring should be on 3 or 4 th position on jet needle . and don't know the proper position --or turns for the idle speed adjustment screw ..

Place the clip on the 3rd notch from the top of the needle. Turn the air/fuel screw out 2 turns and see how it does.
