I have an 07 400EX and its not charging the battery at all, does that mean I need a new starter? Im guessing the alternator comes with that.

 

You mean stator???

Are you sure it is not the battery is bad? Jump the quad and unhook the battery and see if it stays running. If the stator and stuff are working it should run with out the battery. If it stays running check the voltage on the battery cables while it is running with the battery unhooked. All the charging equipment running correctly should put out around 13.5 volts at an idle or slightly over idle.
