2003 Yamaha Kodiak 450 Electrical Problem in water

I have a 2003 yamaha kodiak 450. When driving through water, even shallow water, when water splashes up under the ATV it shuts off and bogs down. Air box is dry. Anyone have any clue what this problem could be?

Probably something electrical, check the ignition coil and spark plug wire for cracks, and check the stator cover gasket for leaks.
