OK all,

I got the KFX400 motor tore down, all damaged, broken and missing parts either on order, or watching/looking for them on Ebay.

I got the cases and covers soaking in degreaser, with plans to take them to the pressure washer tonight and clean them as best as they can be.

Then, bead blasting to get them ready for paint.

I've done a bit of research, and it seems the VHT High Heat Aluminum seems to be the choice, can anyone recommend any further reading, or a better choice for painting the engine cases?
