Try a carb kit instead of just cleaning a carb. Several parts that can have a lot of wear that you can't just clean and get by with, such as the needle and seat, slide needle, etc. If after the carb is correct and you still have problems move on to the electrical checks. Here's a 5 buck 2002 manual that has the elec schematic and tests and basically the same as your 2000 model.2002 Polaris Trail Boss 325 Service Manual PDF Download Plus don't over look the obvious such as the air filter, plug, etc.

Had that same model. Wouldn't win any races or beauty contests, but it always ran and that's what I liked most about it.

Get the download OPT posted. A manual is a must have for any machine.

Follow OPT's advice, if anyone knows about these machines, it would be him.

And welcome to the forums.

I appreciate the input I will try a carb kit but still dont see how it can run fine for 5 to 10 minutes the sputter under throttling seems it would be something breaking down electrical but thats why I ased for advice because Ive never seen this before

When you get it running, put some dielectric grease on the spark plug boot. Had mine out in the pouring rain, running through the mud and kept cutting out. Did that and it never gave me that problem again.

Wasn't a deep mud, just wet and sloppy. I could have ridden in that all day.
