I installed the upgrade kit, everything hooked up as it should. I have no spark. Any ideas?

Almost all the problems that people had on these kits were grounding issues especially the ground wire at the stator. Just retrace your steps on the wiring and especially the ground wires.Make sure the stator ground is secure under the pick up coil plate.

After taking it all apart and putting it back together 3 times, it is FINALLY running. The problem was a broken wire on the new harness. Frustrating....but fixed. Thankful I don't have to load it up and head back to the Polaris dealer. Thanks!

Dealer would have had the same problem that you've had,but he would have charged you for how long it took him to find that wire short! Glad you found the problem and saved some bucks..

The question is do you see a big difference in the performance? I know for me it seemed like it fired immediately as to before, it took a fair amount of cranking before it would start. Also, it seemded to have have a little more pep.

Glad you got it all straightened out.

With new spark plugs it runs great. Probably better than ever. Saved at least $500 by doing it myself. The local dealer quoted $1000. My wife got online and found this forum and decided it was something I could do myself. The $500+ I saved her can now be used for some new hunting equipment?
