Default 700 Sportsman, ugh!

Trying to do some simple work on a 700 but vin number's rusted pretty much to crap and I don't know what year it is so I can't get the parts I need from the dealer. Trying to a rear cv axle, front strut casting, and tie rods.... Any suggetions on how to figure out what Im dealing with or where a good place to find parts would be??

You should have a title card for the ATV and it will display the VIN# and year. If you don't have that but it is registered, your local DMV should have that record on file. Might be able to look at the parts diagram online and compare your axles to the one that are shown. If it is carb vs. EFI that could also help to narrow it done...

Good Luck....

Have to ask my cousin I guess.... It's his machine, I'm just playing mechanic with it. It is carbed so I know it's one of the early production models. For whatever reason Polaris couldn't just stick with one type of axle, noooo....

If the engine still has a engine #sticker on it (a lot of them wear off) the first two numbers are the year model. 03-05 used the same rear drive shaft. First year model (02) was different.
