I myself have a 400ex- and last weekend, I had the opportunity to race a warrior, as well as ride it. The mods that I have done to my 400ex were also done to the warior- so hopups were the same.
...results- I toasted him in a race. They just don't produce the power a 400ex has. Also- when I rode the Warior, it felt very awkward- almost like a snowmobile.
If I were you- think twice about the Warior- it lacks power- and comfort. Read the magazines on the shoot-outs... 400ex vs. Raptor vs. Bombadier vs. banshee... and 400ex got the all around best pick. Although it's not the fastest- it was the best handling bike and most comfortable to ride.
I raced a Raptor yesterday- and it smoked me. The raptor was running completely stock out of the box- ...now that's a machine I would go look at if I was you... but I LOVE MY 400ex!!!

In my opinion dont get the warrior. I think it has horrible suspesion and handling compared to my 250x. The warrior is faster though. I would go with the 400ex it has superior handling, suspesion and more power. I believe they are around the same price too. If you want reverse and are not too big get a 300ex.

Hi, I think I can give a pretty qualified answer on this considering I rode a Warrior for 2 years and have now had my 400EX for six months and ridden somewhere between 1200-1500 miles on the 400. I had a lot of fun on my Warrior and learned a lot riding it but the handling was very hard on me when we rode rough terrain. It was excellent on hill climbs due to the heavier front end and handled great in the woods, but for my needs and tastes, the 400EX is far superior. It handles like a dream, feels like it is floating when I jump and has enough power to get your heart rate up. I have had more fun on it in the 6 months than I ever had on the Warrior as far as the riding aspect goes. It handles so well you are able to concentrate on improving your skills instead of fighting to get the best ride out of your quad like I felt like I was doing with the Warrior. You do have to take into consideration that I am a female with much less upper body strength and almost half the size of the majority of riders but I still think you would end up a happier quad owner with the 400. As far as reverse goes, I decided to drive through a rock "cave" this weekend and had to get over an enormous root. I didn't have anyone convenient to help but managed to pull it back by myself and position to get over the root. I am not saying it is always that easy but it is worth it to have the quad I have now!
