Was looking for some answers to a problem I have w/ '04 polaris sportsman 500 ho . Seems the tranny wont come out of reverse ...have romoved the linkage and gone directly to the tranny it self as had linkage issues before. But when i try to move the split fork to the forward/ reverse on the top of tranny...wont budge any suggetions would greatly appreciated ...Thanks

 

Try rocking the atv back and forth and see if you can move it to neutral.Also going back and forth between the h/n/r belcrank and low belcrank may help free it from reverse. If it still wont budge then could be problems that require the transmission to be split.Usually a bullet proof transmission unless really abused.
