What to buy for aging father....
#1
I would really like some expert advice from a number of you enthusiasts please
My dad is 77 and recently endured 2 back surgeries and has become considerably weaker.... It would bring me great joy to bring him all around the farm checking fences and seeing cows, but so much of the year its too muddy to be tracking up the fields and crossing broad ditches with the truck. With me on a regular ATV (Prairie 700) this easy, but obviously I can't ride double with dad on the 700. However, I am hopeful we could gently ride these far corners of the farm on a "UTV".
So can you advice some reliable UTV's that I should look into?
What would be a good used model to look for that might cost a bit less, have a reasonably smooth/safe ride, and good maintenance track record?
Thank you much for the consideration !

Of course I'm gonna be a little biased, but you might take a look at the Ranger 400. Proven engine(actually 455ccs) good track record and won't break the pocket book.I don't have back problems, but have RA and can ride around in one all day if I wanted to. 2014 Polaris RANGER 400 Sage Green Side by Side UTV : Specs

If you can find a good used Can-Am "Traxter" or "Quest" they made them from 1999 until 2006 . The nice part is you do not have to throw your leg over the seat to get on them, you just step into it and sit down.
A SXS is not as easy to get in and out of as you would think.
