I posted my problem on another forum but I see from a search on here that there is a few ppl that are familiar with these transmissions so, below is the problem I'm having:

Finally had a chance to get the 200m that I for free a while back, mobile today. Runs strong in first gear, shift 2nd gear and makes noise like the drive chain slipping but can shift into 3rd with no issues. Gearing dwn is all smooth until hit 2nd gear. Get back into 1st and things are fine.

Does anyone have thoughts on what or why 2nd gear would make so much noise, etc? It sounds like it's not engaging @ all.

If you have problems on up shifting and also down shifting to second,could be a shift fork or gear problem sounds like. Especially if all other gears are ok. On this I'd down load a repair manual.Here's a free one. Hope the link works.http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manual...shopmanual.pdf
